4 Spooky Activities to do with the Family this Weekend!
If you’re anything like most of us here at GLOW, you’ve got a child at home who can’t wait to wear their Halloween costume any and everywhere. Here are four fun Halloween activities — other than Trick or Treating — taking place in Loudoun County this weekend that are costume approved and sure to entertain the little ones. 👍
The Haunted Trail at Salamander Resort and Spa
Open the 26th - 29th, this family friendly haunted trail spans just over half a mile. On the trail guests traverse the darkness while actors play out spooky scenes and characters that are sure to entertain the whole family.
Small bites, beverages, and even a s’mores kit are available! However this event costs $20 to attend, although children 3 and under may enter for free.
Spooky Skate Night at Douglass Community Center
Head to the Douglass Community Center sometime between 7pm and 10pm for a Spooky Skate Night! The rink is transformed for this festive evening with spooky lighting and chilling music to set the mood. Take a break from skating to enjoy a warm glass of cider and a candy bar, take part in a fun Halloween activity, or take a picture with one of our Halloween “sightings”
Loudoun Museum’s Hauntings
Taking place tonight (10/27) and tomorrow night, Loudoun Museums will be hosting one of their largest fundraising events where attendees will walk the streets of Downtown Leesburg while listening to historians tell tales of the Haunted buildings along the way.
Air & Space Museum’s Air & Scare Family Day
On the 28th, the Air & Space Museum hosts it’s annual Air& Scare Family Day where children, parents, and even some staff dress up in costume. There are several fun activities for the family to enjoy while you’re there including Trick-or-Treating, Halloween crafts and science experiments, and all of the awesome air and space crafts!
